We got knocked down. We rebuilt it two miles away.

Blue Water Fitness started as a rescue. The old building on Lapeer Road had been a gym for years and it had gone tired — dated equipment, a layout that didn't work, and people who had stopped coming. New ownership gutted it, brought in equipment people actually wanted to use, and turned it back into a room worth driving to.

Then the roof came down. We closed with no idea when we would be back, and the months that followed were the worst part of this whole business: people kept getting billed while the doors were shut, and calls didn't get returned. We are not going to write around that — it happened, and it was our fault.

So we found a new building — 3329 Dove Road, behind Redline Auto Repair — and reopened on June 20th, 2026. New location, new equipment, same $25 a month, same tanning included. And a standing offer that hasn't changed since the day we posted it: if you were carrying a balance from the closure, it disappears when you come back.

Locally owned. Community backed. All fitness levels welcome. Whether you're squatting four plates or walking a treadmill because your doctor told you to, the door works at any hour and nobody in here is watching you.
