- What equipment does Blue Water Fitness have?
- A free weight floor with a power rack, squat stands and bench press stations, a full dumbbell rack, adjustable and flat benches, and Olympic and curl bars; plate-loaded and selectorized machines and a Bodymasters cable station; treadmills, ellipticals, a StairMaster and an air bike; and locker rooms with private showers. The Level 4 lay-down and Level 5 stand-up tanning units are in their own room.
- Is Blue Water Fitness beginner friendly?
- Yes. All fitness levels are welcome and nobody here cares what you lift. Members describe it as a judgement-free zone. If it is your first time back in years, the desk will walk you around the floor on your first visit if you want it, and leave you alone if you don't.
- Can I work out at 3am?
- Yes. The GymSwype app opens the door at any hour, every day. Most of the floor is quiet overnight, which is exactly why members on nights and rotating shifts train here.
- Can I try the gym before joining?
- Yes. A day pass is $10 — buy it in the GymSwype app and it opens the door, or pay at the desk during staffed hours. Free tours are booked online and someone will be there to show you the floor. Or call (810) 772-6568.
- Do you offer group classes or personal training?
- No group classes. Blue Water is an open floor at any hour, priced for people who want the equipment and the door rather than a schedule. If you want coaching, ask at the desk.
- Are there showers and lockers?
- Yes. The locker rooms have private tiled showers, so you can come straight from work, train, shower and go.
- Where do I park?
- We are the building behind Redline Auto Repair on Dove Road. Park in front, and please do not block the neighbours' garage doors. Overflow parking is toward the street.
